The short version

What happens when you paste a link
- Your browser sends the address of the post to our site.
- Our site asks our own download service to read that public post and to list the files X offers for it.
- You pick a format. The file travels from X's servers, through our service, to your device.
Nothing is written to a disk along the way: the file passes through memory only. Download links are signed and expire after 15 minutes, so they cannot be shared or reused later.
Your IP address
Your IP address is used for one purpose only: limiting abuse, so a robot cannot flood the service and make it slow or expensive for everyone. Our site passes it to our download service for that check.
It is not written to a database, and we keep no access log of downloads. Our hosting providers keep their own short-lived technical logs, as every host does, and we do not use them to track anyone.
Cookies
Visitors get no cookies at all: no advertising cookie, no tracking cookie, no analytics cookie. That is also why you see no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
The only cookies this site can set belong to the private admin area, used by the publisher to sign in. They never reach visitors.
Measuring the audience
We keep a few daily totals, on our own servers, with no outside tool: how many pages were seen, how many links were read, how many files were saved and in which format, how many bytes went out, and why things failed when they did. That is how we know the tool still works and what it costs to run.
When you arrive, your browser tells us the family the visit came from — X, a search engine, an answer engine, another site, or none at all — and nothing more. Never the address of the page you were on, never a list of pages you visited.
Three more numbers go into those daily totals: the kind of device (iPhone, Android, computer), the country our host reads from the network, and the language your browser asks for. They tell us which page to improve and which language to write next. Each one is added to a count for the day and to nothing else: your IP address is never stored, and none of these numbers can be put back together to point at a person. We also count which quality was saved, and how long reading a post took, in slices.
No cookie, no identifier, nothing written on your device, so two visits cannot be told apart: these are pages seen, not people counted. There is no Google Analytics and no third-party measurement script here. If that ever changes, this page will say which tool and what it sees, before it goes live.
Advertising
There is no advertising on the site today. If it is added later to pay the servers, this page will say which network is used and what it can see, before the first ad appears.
Who else is involved
Running the site means using a few technical providers. None of them receives a customer list, because there is none.
- Our web host serves the pages and runs the small server functions.
- Our download service reads public posts and streams files. It is the only part that sees your IP.
- Our database stores site settings, the admin's own sign-ins and the results of automatic health checks — never visitor data.
- The platform itself (X today) serves the video file and sees a request coming from our service.
These providers are located in the United States. Nothing personal about you is sent to them beyond what is described above.
Your rights
European rules (GDPR) give you the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to complain to your national authority. We keep this simple: we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to send you and nothing to delete. You can still write to hello@loveitsaveit.com with any question, and we answer.
Children
The site is not aimed at children: you must be at least 13 years old to use it, as stated in the terms.
Security
Everything on loveitsaveit.com travels over HTTPS. Download links are signed and short-lived. The admin area sits behind a secret address, a strong password and a lockout after repeated failures.
Changes to this page
When our practices change, we update this page and the date at the top, before the change goes live whenever we can.
